Fredric DeVries is a native of Racine, Wisconsin, and studied
piano and organ with Everett Kuiper, John Hammersma, and Kathryn
Lowe. He attended Calvin College as a National Merit Scholar
and was a recipient of the American Choristers Guild Scholarship.
After graduating in music education and organ performance,
Fredric moved to Ontario and taught in schools in Hamilton,
Picton, and Mississauga. Currently, he is Director of Music
at St. Paul's United Church in Dundas, is Artistic Director
of the Tudor Singers of Brantford, and is a teacher for the
Canadian Bureau for the Advancement of Music.
Fredric has performed with the Brantford Symphony Orchestra
and the Mohawk College Singers and has appeared as artist
in several recital series. In 1984, he became Associate of
the Royal Canadian College of Organists and received the Charles
Peaker Scholarship. In 1989, he became a Fellow of the College
(FRCCO).
