How much are lessons?

Lessons are $25/half-hour private lesson, or $115/month for group lessons. Current Avalon students receive a discounted rate for group classes. Please check out our Lessons page for more info.

Are lessons in-person or online?

We are currently offering both in-person and virtual lesson options so you can choose what works best for your family.

Where are you located?

We are located inside the new Memorial Arts Centre at 357 Wilson Street East in Ancaster.

Who will my teacher be?

We have a wonderful group of teachers with varying specializations and availability. If you are interested in a specific individual or certain type of teacher, please let us know in your initial correspondence. Otherwise, tell us a bit about yourself and we can match you with someone suited to your interests and learning style.

Do you facilitate RCM exams?

Our teachers routinely prepare students for Royal Conservatory exams, though they are of course administered by the Royal Conservatory only. If you are interested in lessons for exam preparation, please let us know.

Will you be re-opening a Dundas location?

While we had hoped to re-open a Dundas location for the 2022/23 school year, constraints from the last two years of the pandemic are making that difficult. We are hoping our Dundas families can make the drive up the hill to Ancaster for this year and we hope to re-launch our Dundas location for the fall of 2023.
